Sales & Support Engineer
Locations: Concord, MA and PUNE, India
Umber Systems is seeking a Sales & Support Engineer who has a strong background containing significant experience in engineering, service/support, and sales to provide technical service and support to customers and the sales process. This position will be a key role in coordinating and/or conducting training, installation and turn-up of products.
Umber is looking for an SSE to be the single point of contact to the customer for all support/service required, while also being able to produce customer proposals and manage trials from the proposal process through completion. The ideal candidate will possess a track record demonstrative of strong planning and organizational skills, and have the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives across diverse teams in both a line and matrix capacity within a start-up environment.
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in Wireless Telecom field, in a start-up environment
- BS Engineering (CS or EE preferred)
- Practical experience of IP networking, databases and web applications
- Strong understanding of software test lifecycle, testing methodologies and techniques
- Ability to build external relationships with customers, OEM partners and internal company relationships
- Willingness to travel 30-60% of the time
Software Engineer, Web Technologies
Umber Systems is seeking a creative Software Engineer who has a strong background with web technologies and is experienced in web-based GUI technologies. This person will also have an artistic side to create buttons and graphics to compliment the UI.
